Mass Shooting
[edit]While a first reaction may be to begin writing about the mass shooting, it'd be best if we avoid sensationalism and make sure things are set and figured out before we begin a wave of edits as things are uncovered. Isit2004 (talk) 06:31, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
Jewish ownership
[edit]In this edit [1] the following was removed without any explanation
The building is owned by jewish interest according the French Magasine Le Point,[1] and the venue has for years been the target of anti-Zionist groups because pro-Israel events.[2][3]
I've restored it [here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bataclan_%28theatre%29&type=revision&diff=690635558&oldid=690631173]. Please discuss it here. Nsaa (talk) 17:35, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
This stance is a pure political interpretation, and the sources are questionable at best.
The venue is owned by the Lagardère Group, not jewish people.[4] The fact that you are willing to write such fantasies says a lot about your motivations.

Please refrain from making Wikipedia a political playground after a tragedy.
The article is about Le Bataclan and the history includes numerous well-sourced accounts of threats and protests against the venue due to it's Jewisb ownership and many pro-Israel events, including annual celebratory Galas in honor of the Israeli border guards of the IDF. This is the history of the venue and stating these documented facts is not political. Please do not remove this factual content. Please do not 'undo' these edits UNLESS THE EDITOR LOGS IN AND REVEALS THEIR WIKI_IDENTITY. Please do not violate WP Civility conduct policies, eg using ad hominem insults. If this unacceptable behavior is repeated it will be reported to for Administrative review. When responding, please remember to log-in and sign you messages.
Thank you very much for your cooperation.

- Hello - I do not understand why you need to shout, however I ask that you do not attempt to force your views about annoymous editing which are in violation of established Wikipedia practice. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.10.250.15 (talk) 16:15, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
- Please keep a calm tone. Please refrain from removing it[2] until there has been reached consensus to remove this well sourced material:
- Threats for Pro-Israel activities
For 40 years, Bataclan had Jewish owners, Pascal and Joel Laloux, who sold the theatre to new owners in September 2015. The theatre was a target for anti-Zionist activists, since the venue often held pro-Israel events. One extremist group called "Army of Islam" threatened the Bataclan in 2011 because its owners were Jews.[5][6]
Pro-Palestinian activists have protested against the Bataclan's association with pro-Israel activities. A video posted on YouTube shows masked pro-Palestinian militant protesters at the Bataclan in 2008 stating: "We came here to pass along a small message. Be warned. Next time we won’t be coming here to talk.”[7]
